Carmel knights Fish Fry is TO GO orders only This Week

The Knights of Columbus ,Our Lady of the Lakes Council 36318's wildly popular and successful Lenten Fish Fry has been drawing hundreds to their Council Hall on Fair street every Friday evening during Lent for the last few years and this year has been no exception, until now. 

The Knights have announced that tonight's Fish Fry event will only accept "To Go" orders. This decision is based on an abundance of caution and follows the County and CDC guidelines for limiting public gatherings during the ongoing corona virus health crisis in the country. 

On a Facebook Post of earlier today the council said 

"We have been in direct contact today with top Putnam County officials, who inform us that there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Putnam County, and that there are no changes in the status of the outbreak in our County.

However, out of an abundance of caution and in consideration of the most vulnerable members of our community who are our guests, we are doing ONLY TAKE-OUT SERVICE this Friday. Our Council Hall will be open only for ordering and pickup, but not for dining.

Our kitchen operation has always been extremely sensitive to good hygiene and food safety practices. Now we are also taking proactive measures to sanitize contact surfaces in our public areas on a regular basis.

So with that public service announcement out of the way, here's the good news. This week's specials are Mussels Fra Diavolo and Sole Piccata!"
