The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Patterson Virtual and Drive Through Event is 2 Weeks Away!

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Relay For Life of Patterson will be a mix of a virtual and drive through event on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Relay For Life is all about togetherness, but the safety of our patients, survivors, volunteers and staff is always a top priority.

“During this difficult time, cancer won’t stop, and neither will we,” said Kate Corsitto, American Cancer Society Community Development Manager.

Join us and be part of the Relay For Life movement and continue to celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change. Join us virtually and continue the fight from home and be a part of the Relay For Life of Patterson.

On Saturday, June 13, 2020 we will come together to fight back! Below is the schedule for the day:

12 Noon to 5 PM- $5k for Relay: do laps around the block, on a local trail or your living room and help us raise $5k in 5 hours!

6:30 to 7:30 PM- Virtual Relay on Facebook: tune in at home to watch our Relay program complete with opening ceremony, mission speaker, Survivor Shout Outs, and more.

8:30 to 9:30 PM- Luminaria Parade: line up at 8:30 PM and come drive through our luminaria lit up in front of Patterson Fire Dept. To purchase and dedicate a luminaria visit our website (relayforlife.orf/pattersonny)

The American Cancer Society’s mission matters more than ever. The needs of people facing cancer continue and so does our work. Cancer patients still need support during this crisis. Funds raised help the American Cancer Society to continue with cancer research, the 24/7 helpline, and for continuing services to get patients the care and support they need where we can.

Help continue to bring hope to those that need it most. Join your local Relay For Life virtually to help those facing cancer. Visit relayforlife.org/pattersonny for more information about this virtual event and to donate to fight cancer.
