6th Annual Big Truck Day at the Kent Library

6th Annual Big Truck Day at the Kent Library

6tAbout 500  people, mostly parents and children, came to see the big trucks gathered at the Kent Public Library on Saturday, June 3rd. Three fire trucks, an ambulance,  police car, construction equipment,  a paver, well drillers, and a former tank gathered for this year's "Big Truck and Community Vehicle Day" in the library parking lot. Children were able to see what the inside of an ambulance looks like, and climb in the driver's seats of the numerous interesting vehicles gathered for the event.

The library would like to thank the many people, including Town of Kent Supervisor Maureen Fleming, the Kent Highway Department, the Kent Police Department,The Putnam County Sheriff's Department,  the Lake Carmel Sanitation District, The Kent Fire Department, The Carmel Fire Department,  the Lake Carmel Fire Department,The Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Chris' Automotive Center, Hartshorn Paving and the Boyd Artesian Well Company, who helped to make  "Big Truck Day"   a success.  The Kent Public Library plans to host it again next year.
