Odell to Present the Putnam County 2020 Budget

County Executive MaryEllen Odell and the Putnam County Legislature invite Putnam County residents, business owners, and not-for-profit organizations to mark their calendars for the 2020 budget the presentation.

Odell will present her Putnam County 2020 Budget Address on Thursday, October 3rd at 7pm at the Putnam County Golf Course located at 187 Hill Street, Mahopac New York, during a formal meeting of the Putnam County Legislature.

This will be the eighth budget the County Executive has delivered as an open and transparent look into the County’s fiscal outlook. It will also include the traditional slideshow presentation highlighting the County’s budget initiatives and special projects that have importance to our economic strength and Putnam County’s future.

“The 2020 Budget that we will be presenting to the Putnam County Legislature and the public will reflect our commitment to deliver both mandated and quality of life programs, while at the same time satisfy our obligations as County leaders who believe in the importance of balancing our fiscal and social responsibilities.”

Putnam County government will once again host the “Market Place” prior to the start of the budget address to highlight business organizations as well as our not-for-profits here in Putnam County.

The “Market Place”, which starts at 5pm, showcases a number of services offered for families through various County departments such as Health, Social Services and the Youth Bureau. We are particularly excited about having the Economic Development Corporation and the Putnam County Tourism Department showcasing their new visions for a better Putnam County.

Odell said she would welcome any organization that would like to participate at the “Market Place” and asks that if you are interested to please contact: Maureen Bernard at the Putnam County Law Department (maureen.bernard@putnamcountyny.gov).
