Carmel Fire Department 2019 Open House

The Carmel Fire Department would like to announce the date for our annual Open House. On Sunday September 29th from 11:00 to 3:00. Join us for a day of fun, demonstrations and maybe donate some blood. 

One of the highlights of the day will be "Franks with a Firefighter", from 11:30 to 12:30 all children under 16 are welcome to have a hotdog with our firefighters, ask questions, take pictures and have some fun. During the day the kids, and adults too, can come over to the dunk tank and try and "Dunk-a-Chief".

There will be a bouncy house and more for the Kids.

The day will include many demonstrations including dryer fires, stove fires and a special demonstration showing the importance of keeping your doors closed. Called "Close Before You Doze" we will show how this simple task can give you more time if a fire starts in your home to get out and be safe.

Also included will be a blood drive with the Red Cross and FREE Flu Shots courtesy of the Stoneleigh Medical Group as well as a Car Seat installation/inspection station provided by the Carmel Police Department and Putnam County Sheriffs.
This is just a sample of the activities happening at the Carmel Fire Department Open House. So come one come all and join us rain or shine for an educational, informative and fun day. And if you like what we do, we are always looking for new members!
