PAWSAFE Adoption Event on Library Give Back Day

October 19 is 'The Great Give Back' day for New York State public libraries. The mission of the day is to provide opportunities for library patrons to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.

The Patterson Library will be joining in this statewide initiative by hosting a PawSafe Animal Adoption event and Pet Supply Drive. PawSafe is a local animal rescue organization that strives to help animals find a better life. Come meet with these furry friends and perhaps adopt a new family member! PawSafe volunteers will be at the library from 9:30 - 11:30 am on Saturday, October 19. Visit www.pawsafe.org for more information or to pre-apply to adopt a dog. *Fees apply.

You can also help by contributing to our Pet Supply Drive with donations of trash bags, paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, towels, scent free baby wipes, spray bottles, dog toys made of rubber (no cloth or rawhide) and/or money. These items can be brought to the library during business hours through October 19.

You can also help contribute on Library Give Back Day by bringing in donations.  accepted items include:
  1. Trash Bags
  2. Paper Towels
  3. Dog Toys (rubber only)
  4. Scent Free Baby Wipes
  5. Laundry Detergent
  6. Bleach
  7. Spray Bottles

You can also make a financial donation.
