Carmel Board Of Education Meeting Lottery

Please note the following upcoming Board of Education meetings:
  1. Thursday, October 1, 2020: Board of Education Special Meeting, 5:30 p.m., Carmel High School Library, 30 Fair St., Carmel, NY. NOTE: The meeting will be called to order at 5:30 p.m. and the Board will enter into Executive Session to review the employment history of particular person(s). There will be no public meeting and no action will be taken.
  2. Tuesday, October 6, 2020: Board of Education Committee Meetings, Athletic & Co-Curricular,& Education & Assessment, 4:30 p.m., Finance & Audit Committees, 5:00 p.m., Facilities & Transportation, 4:45 p.m. If you would like to attend a committee meeting kindly email sdieck@carmelschools.org
  3. Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Board of Education Meeting, 6:00 p.m., Carmel High School Cafeteria, 30 Fair St., Carmel, NY. NOTE: The meeting will be called to order at 6:00 p.m. and the Board will enter into Executive Session. The public meeting will reconvene at 7:00 p.m. 
 
LOTTERY FOR OCTOBER 6 BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING (this does not pertain to committee meetings. If you would like to attend a committee meeting, email sdieck@carmelschools.org)
Meetings of the CCSD Board of Education has returned to in-person meetings*. Meetings will take place in the Carmel High School cafeteria. According the Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order, a total of 50 people may be in attendance (and/or 50% of the room capacity with social distancing in place—whichever is lowest). This includes all Board members, District Administrators, presenters, and the audience.  
 
Audience members shall be limited to a maximum of 25 people and shall be chosen by lottery. Audience members may not attend two back-to-back meetings unless the maximum number of audience members has not been met (this applies to no-shows as well, except for those who were chosen for the Sept. 22 meeting). Those chosen by the lottery will BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL THE DAY BEFORE THE MEETING. Please be sure to provide a valid email address and white list sdieck@carmelschools.org Those chosen will receive a pass that they must print out and bring to the meeting.  In addition, attendees will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening the day of the meeting and prior to entering the meeting. Audience members should arrive no later than the public meeting start time (7:00 p.m.).
 
NOTE: WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
