Celebrate '#SlowArtDay' with the Katonah Museum of Art

Join the Katonah Museum of Art this Saturday to celebrate #SlowArtDay. Slow Art Day is a global event with a simple mission to help more people discover the joy of looking at and loving art. Observing a work slowly allows for discoveries and new perspectives.
Slow Art Day 2021
Saturday, April 10
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

The goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing. For this year's event, join a KMA docent for a virtual in-depth conversation about a selection of works in the Still/Live exhibition. Still/Live explores how contemporary artists working in photography, video, and new media are reimagining the genre of Still Life. In doing so, they explore themes that are especially relevant to our lives today: the blurring of the lines between what’s real and what’s virtual, between truth and fiction, and between appearance and reality.

Register for this free virtual tour below. If you have any questions, please email mrakowsky@katonahmuseum.org

The event is free but registration is required.
