Carmel Civic Association Cancels Halloween Activities Due to Covid Concerns.

No decision yet regarding the Association's Annual "Holiday on The Lake" Celebration in December.

The Hamlet of Carmel Civic Association (HCCA) has decided NOT to hold their Halloween activities again the year due to covid concerns.

In an email newsletter to their membership they stated “The decision was made due to the safety of our children and vulnerable adults, which is our first concern. With Breakthrough infections incurring in vaccinated persons and with children who can not yet be vaccinated, we just didn’t want to take any chances".

The Association said in their newsletter that they do plan on putting the Christmas Trees out along Lake Gleneida this year but  that they have not yet made a decision on holding their Annual "Holiday on the Lake" festivities this December, contrary to the Carmel Parks and Recreation Department listing the event in their fall 20201 calendar.

The HCCA is hoping to have more information available for the public regarding "Holiday on the Lake" next month.
