KJ Denhert - Urban Folk and Jazz

Tompkins Corners Cultural Center, a non-profit organization in Peekskill, NY is hosting renowned jazz artist, KJ Denert on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 7:30 - 10:30 pm at their 739 Peekskill Hollow Road location. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at this Eventbrite link.

Expect a night of exciting urban folk and jazz by this of NYC based award-winning songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader.  KJ is a child of the 60s, her music is a rich tapestry of Urban Folk & Jazz. With echoes of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Laura Nyro and Steely Dan, her music is both unique and relevant today.

KJ has been electrifying crowds with her all-star band via a residency spanning over 23 years at the 55 Bar in New York City’s West Village. She has released ten albums, including her latest, Destiny, and is working on three new original projects for 2022-23.

Joining KJ will be Adam Armstrong on Bass, Eric Halvorson on Drums, Mark McIntyre on Guitar, and Pianist/composer Nicki Denner. All are appearing on her upcoming Jazz Project Recording, featuring four unreleased originals and offerings from Lennon and McCartney, Lerner and Loewe, and Rodgers and Hammerstein.

The Tompkins Corners Cultural Center is a 501C(3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to preserve the historic Tompkins Corners Methodist Church and to promote and develop community and cultural interest through the arts and cultural activities open to the public.
