La Dégustation - A Musical Wine Tasting in Mt Kisco, NY!

Jazz on Main  will host a unique Musical Wine Tasting Event Featuring Jazz artist, Eliane Amherd on Saturday, March 4, 2023 with two sets of live music and wine pours at 7 and 9 PM.  

The evenings musical entertainment spotlights NYC-based singer/ songwriter Eliane Amherd and her all female power trio delivering original compositions fusing Amherd’s smooth jazzified grooves over African, Brazilian and Latin influences.

 

Entitled, La Dégustation - A Musical Wine Tasting, and sponsored by Swiss Wine Valais, the night promises to deliver double satisfaction for all five senses. The musical wine tasting offers guests a full-bodied blend of notes and witty anecdotes anyone, music and wine lovers, can appreciate. Both red and white wine samples were cultivated by the Jean-René Germarier winery, and shipped directly from Amherd’s homeland, Valais in the Swiss Alps.

Intoxicating and socially unifying, the Swiss wines provide the inspiration for Eliane’s witty explorations of culture, gender, love, politics, history and art. As much a linguistic polyglot as musical, Eliane sings La Dégustation in French, English, and Walliser Titsch, her native dialect.

Four tasting wines will be delivered discreetly throughout the evening by the nightclub's dedicated staff during the performance. For those who choose not to indulge in the wine tasting, mocktails will be offered. Tickets are $60/per person and includes the show and wine tastings. They can be purchased in advance at jazzonmain.com or at the door the night of the event for $80/per person.

Swiss-born and New York-based guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer Eliane Amherd has made a career out of touring the world, literally and stylistically: Jazz, Funk grooves, Latin and Brazilian rhythms inform Eliane’s stylish, sophisticated global retro - pop sound. Her music has earned her many accolades and engagements on stages across the globe, from premiere jazz clubs in NYC to international festivals as far as Kathmandu. La Dégustation has received vast Media coverage and the band recently played some sold-out concerts in Switzerland, New York and Sri Lanka.
