This year’s Brewster Music Series got off to a wet start on June 14th with a rain cancellation and disappointment. However, as Katy Faivre, series co-promoter will tell you she never lost faith that the scheduled act that night, Genevieve Faivre and the BQE would be heard from the Gazebo Stage in the near future. It was faith and the overwhelming generosity of our sponsors that enabled the concert promotion duo, Katy Faivre & Jacque Roche to extend the series into August. The final 2023 concert is this Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 6:30 - 8:30 PM and is located at the Veterans Park Gazebo Electrazone Field. For those unfamiliar with the area, For those unfamiliar with the area, Set Your GPS to Southeast Veterans Park, Brewster, NY 10509.
The final concert will feature two Brewster HS alumni. Headlining the night is Genevieve Faivre & the BQE. Alex Peterson will open the event at 6:30 PM with a set of acoustic originals to warm the crowd up for the Brazilian, R&B, Pop Party!
“As the series began its July performances, attendees began to ask us to keep it going into August. We noticed since the June 21st show, that each week our audience was growing, and many were returning with friends,” remarked Katy Faivre. “As an expression of gratitude to the Cultural Arts Coalition for presenting the series, the volunteers for their time and our loyal concert attendees, Katy suggested a Fan Appreciation Night. It is a wonderful idea and I’m excited to host the live music fans we met this summer at Southeast Veterans Park,” expressed Roche.
“We are already making plans for 2024, and look forward to hearing from volunteers, potential sponsors and performers interested in being part of next year’s series,” Faivre stated. Requests can be made at BSMS@culturalartsco.com. “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Katy” Roche continued. “When we started working together, it was seamless. Our skill sets balance us out. Katy handles all our boots-on-the-ground missions as well as the technical issues. I’m behind the keyboard sending emails, coordinating sponsorships and my favorite task, feeding the band!
