Friends of Classical Music: Sumire Kudo & Brian Fox

Cellist Sumire Kudow and violinist Brian Fox bring Ravel, Bach, Cassado, Romberg and Mayuzumi to the Center for this final Friends concert for 2018.

We have scheduled the performance for 1 pm because one of the performers needs to return to NYC for an evening performance. 

Sumire Kudo (Cello) is an active soloist, chamber musician, and a member of the New York Philharmonic. Recently she appeared as a member of "Cellists of Lincoln Center" at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Her honors include the Hideo Saito Memorial Fund Award, which she received from the Sony Music Foundation after being chosen by Seiji Ozawa and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi as the most promising cellist in 2005.

Brian Fox (Violin) performs with a number of ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Opera Orchestra, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. He has toured with the New York Philharmonic on tours to Europe, Asia and the United States. He was a member of the New World Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas and a founding member of La Orquesta Communidad Valencia under the Direction of Lorin Maazel and Zubin Mehta in Valencia, Spain.
