The State University of New York Athletic Conference released (SUNYAC) its All-Conference team for baseball today and three SUNY Oneonta players were recognized for their on-field performance this season.
Senior Ryan Fay (Carmel) earned First Team honors while classmate Robert Ottaviano (Nanuet) and sophomore Dominic Lamonica (Stony Brook)were both selected to the Second Team. All three players are being recognized for the first time.
Fay was the team's top reliever this spring leading the team with 20 appearances including 17 out of the pen. He finished with a 3-1 record overall with a 4.36 ERA while recording a pair of saves. In 43.1 innings of work, he recorded 26 strikeouts and allowed 47 hits.
After beginning his career as a catcher for Oneonta, Fay completed his final two seasons as a pitcher.
Oneonta finished the season with an overall record of 18-20 while qualifying for the SUNYAC tournament.
