If you’ve ever wanted to be an actor but have no experience, don’t have the time to memorize or just want to enjoy reading out loud, Armchair Actors is for you.
Our next production will be performed on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mahopac Library. Program is called: ALMOST LIKE BEING IN LOVE and proposed material will include scenes from Almost Maine, The Women, Ice Out, Useless, Inc., and Father Knows Best 1948 pilot radio broadcast. Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 13, Monday, 9/17 and Thursday, 9/20 also in the Library – 3rd floor.
The first evening we read through the selected scripts, get assigned parts and have another rehearsal or two before we take the stage – or our chairs for the performance. To get a copy of the script and an assignment you must contact Patricia Sebastian by September 1, at patsoprano1@verizon.net. At this point space may be limited to 16 performers and preference will be given to members of the Brewster Theater Company but all are welcome to come to the first rehearsal and check us out.
