Serious Jazz Sundays - Chuck Zeuren at Arts On The Lake

Chuck Zeuren and his band return to start off the Fall 2019 Serious Jazz Sunday series on Sunday October 27th, 2019 at 1:30 in the first of three fall concerts.

This series brings consummate jazz professionals to the Center

Chuck Zeuren attended and graduated from Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. where he met and played with such jazz luminaries as John Scofield, Joe Lovano, Gary Burton etc. Soon after graduation, Chuck moved to New York City and while continuing his playing and gigging relationships with Scofield and Lovano, he got involved in the New York Jazz Loft Scene. Here he met and played with Mike Brecker, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Jerry Bergonzi, Tom Harrell, Pepper Adams, Cecil Payne and many others. Chuck joined the band led by Paul Jeffreys, Theolonious Monk's protege and tenor player. This lead to an orientation throughout many of New York City's most famous jazz clubs. He then, in the late 70's, joined the Lionel Hampton Orchestra for what became a 2 year stint. Coming off the road with Hampton, he worked with the late, great Chet Baker's quartet, again throughout some of New York's most prestigious jazz clubs.
