
Stacey Tompkins, Owner and President of Tompkins Excavating, has recently been selected as one of four members to join The Business Council of Westchester’s (BCW) Board of Directors. She will take office with her fellow inductees, Robert Amler of New York Medical College, Donnovan Beckford of Westcop and Christie Houlihan, Houlihan Parnes Realtors, as they continue to pursue BCW’s goals of providing business networking, economic development and business advocacy opportunities for their members.

As President and Owner of Tompkins Excavating, Stacey Tompkins delivers almost two decades worth of experience and leadership capabilities to BCW’s Board of Directors. In fact, after joining her family’s firm in 1991 and becoming president in 2003, Stacey Tompkins played a crucial role in taking her family’s business from a small-time mowing service to a full-scale commercial and residential excavation company.
Under her visionary leadership, Tompkins Excavating has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Business Council of Westchester’s 2019 Hall of Fame – Women in Business Success, New York State Senate’s 2019 Women of Distinction, Women in Leadership Award from The Putnam County Chambers of Commerce (2018), Business of the Year from the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce (2017), New York and New Jersey Brava Award Honoree (2017), 914 Inc. magazine’s Women in Business Award (2016), a Family-Owned Business Award from Westfair Communications (2016), a Cornerstone Award from Habitat for Humanity (2015) and a Mature Trailblazer award from The Putnam County Chambers of Commerce (2013).
As an active community member in Westchester and Putnam County, Stacey has pursued numerous charitable endeavors aimed to enrich all facets of her community. Some of these have included donations to Habitat for Humanity, Support Connection of Westchester, Feeding Westchester and the Community Cares Programs of Mahopac and Northern Westchester. Her company has also been involved with Boards of Cooperative Education Services of New York State (BOCES), where her son has personally taught construction and engineering aspects to students interested in the industry.
