Caitlyn Reilly, of Mahopac, Competing on Assumption's Women's Lacrosse Team

The Assumption Department of Athletics announced that Caitlyn Reilly, of Mahopac, has earned a spot on the 2021 Assumption Women's Lacrosse team. The Greyhounds returned to action in March.

The Assumption University Women's Lacrosse team ranked second in the Northeast-10's Northeast Division in the 2021 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Greyhounds, who are 2-0 on the season, recently ranked 15th in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) Coaches' Poll, moving up from its previous ranking of 16th.

"Our team is excited to be back on the field and competing against fellow NE10 teams," said Courtney Dincecco, first-year head coach of the Women's Lacrosse team. "I am incredibly proud of the work these student-athletes put into improving in the off-season, both individually and as a team. The quick start to our season is proof of this hard work and we look forward to continued success on the field this spring."

On March 11, Assumption announced the full return to competition for all spring sports programs with a number of safety protocols in place, including regular COVID-19 testing for student-athletes. Resuming participation in NE10 competition this spring is contingent upon student-athletes' compliance with all COVID-19 health and safety protocols put in place by the University and the NE10 Conference.
