Carmel Rams heading to Syracuse to play for State Championship

For the first time in history a Putnam County School is playing for the State Championship in HS Varsity Football. The Carmel High School Rams, who are currently undefeated, will head to Syracuse and the Carrier Dome on Friday morning to take on Buffalo's Bennet Academy on Saturday December 4th at 3pm. Carmel earned the spot in the Championship game after thoroughly dominating Newburgh Free Academy on Saturday in the Class AA state semifinal at Middletown High School.

This Friday, December 3rd, at 8:30am the Carmel Fire Department and members of the local police departments will be escorting the players' charter bus to I-84, as they make their way to the State Championships in Syracuse!!

The route will be as follows: Turn left out of Carmel High School parking lot, turn right on to Post Office Road and then left on to Vink Drive. Turn right on to Route 52 and right on to Route 311 and then a left on to 1-84.

Please join in along the route to cheer the team on and wish them luck as the first team in Putnam County to ever make it to the State Championships! GO RAMS!
