The Carmel HS Girl Softball team hosted the Mamaroneck Tigers Sunday on day one of the much anticipated HS playoffs and Carmel did not disappoint.
Mamaroneck got out to an early lead scoring one in the first inning but Carmel came back and scored two runs in the bottom of the 1st to take the lead and they never looked back. Carmel went on to score three more times and held Mamaroneck to only one more run during the contest.
The final score was Carmel - 5, Mamaroneck - 2.
Carmel now faces North Rockland on Tuesday May 24th at the Carmel softball field. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
