Assemblyman Byrne Trailblazing the Region

Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,I,SAM,ROS-Mahopac) is pleased to announce the scheduling of his annual Trailblazing with Byrne constituent forums throughout the 94th Assembly district beginning later this month. Byrne plans to host six different informal forums (one for each town in the Assembly District) where constituents of all backgrounds are welcome to gather outside for an hour of Q & A prior to taking a healthy walk outside that features some parks, trails and preserved open spaces in the region.

“Each year at these forums I receive all sorts of feedback questions and ideas from constituents. While it’s well-known I won’t be returning to Albany as your Assemblyman next year, I still believe it’s important to meet with constituents face-to-face, update them on the work we’ve completed, listen to their concerns and learn from them about the issues that matter most to them,” said Byrne. “I could always be called back up to Albany for a special legislative session, but the information I collect may also be helpful for our next Assembly member during a transition. Secondarily, I also enjoy highlighting our beautiful outdoor spaces as we simultaneously promote healthy living with a fun walk out-doors. Byrne is the only candidate for Putnam County Executive in this year's general election.

Each Trailblazing with Byrne event begins with a scheduled hour of informal discussion about various issues facing the state and region. This portion of the event is streamed on the Assemblyman’s YouTube channel, technology and weather permitting, so people can participate in the conversation virtually as well. The discussion is then followed promptly by an hour-long walk along a nearby trail where some informal conversation continues, and participants get to enjoy some exercise as they, promote healthy living and take in the natural beauty of the area.
