Patterson Rotary Flea Market Grand Opening

The Grand Opening of the Patterson Rotary Flea Market on May 1st was greeted by enthusiastic vendors and over 600 attendees .  The market will be open every Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM through October.  Parking and admission is free.

The Rotary Club has reopened the Flea Market at the site of  the Patterson Olde Tyme Flea Market. The club, known for its community and fundraising events, is looking to remake this into a fun and engaging community gathering that will attract people from the entire region.

Club President Paul Toscano was hopeful for a community event during COVID.  "We had a great soft open on the 18th.  with about a dozen vendors and over 300 people show up.  Our Grand Opening had almost twice as many people attend and we also grew the number of vendors. I am proud of how we really pulled together to kick this off and look forward to it growing each week.  It was great to see it grow for our Grand Opening."

The Flea Market at this site had been in decline for several years and the site was owned by the family of a club member, Jason Maxwell.   They decided to allow the Rotary Club to operate it and use the profits to fund the many local non-profit organizations that they support. "It was just a win-win.  We wanted to see the site flourish and the Rotary is a dedicated group and would give the money back to the community.  To see this happen is good for everyone," Jason explained.

The Flea Market is looking for new vendors and food trucks. Selling spaces are $30 each prior to Memorial Day and $40 after that date.

"We anticipate this growing and our community can help.  If you are a quality vendor, please give us a try. You certainly won't find a better rate and every dollar helps local organizations," Toscano continued.

Rotary is an all-volunteer organization of problem solvers.  We are always looking for new members and this new endeavor will certainly require new members who want to help us create a vibrant and lasting market.
