Call to artists for its 2019 Annual Juried Fine Art Exhibit

The Putnam Arts Council (PAC) announces a call to artists for its 2019 Annual Juried Fine Art Exhibit presented in the A. Eric Arctander Gallery at the Belle Levine Art Center, 521 Kennicut Hill Road, Mahopac, New York. The Exhibit will be on display from October 12 — November 3, 2019 with a reception from 3-Spm on Saturday, the 12th along with the presentation of awards at 4pm that day. This exhibit is sponsored by Tompkins Mahopac Bank and has received support through public funds from Putnam County.

Artists are invited to submit one or two pieces of original fine art for consideration for inclusion and award. Please know that this juried show is a competitive one and not all pieces submitted will be displayed. Interested artists should visit the gallery page of our comprehensive website at www.putnamartscouncil.com for an exhibit prospectus for additional details on restrictions, fees, drop off dates, etc. We do not accept online submissions, only actual work will be considered.

We are most grateful to our jurors, Barbara Smith Gioia, Gallery Coordinator, Garrison Art Center and Margaret Zeitlin, award winning visual artist whose work has been widely exhibited and collected. Jurors will select pieces to be displayed as well as cash awards for Best in Show, Second Place and Third Place.

At 2:30pm on the closing date, Sunday, November 3rd, we will feature a Walk and Talk special event where exhibiting artists will have an opportunity to speak about their art and their inspiration in a most supportive environment. This event is open to the public and free of charge and will run about 90 minutes to two hours.

The A. Eric Arctander Gallery at PAC is open to the public Tuesday through Friday 12:30-3:30 or by appointment and is always free of charge during exhibitions. Group tours can be arranged with advance notice. Contact staff at 845.803.8622 for information on this exhibit as well as on upcoming fall art classes, grant opportunities and other events.
