Reed Library update regarding Window Pickup

Our first week of window pickup service went really well! Pick up appointments are now on the calendar through June. Hours for library phone and pickup service are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 am to 1 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 5 pm to 7 pm.  Hours will be expanded as demand dictates.

Pickup service is easy! After you receive notice that the items you requested are ready to be picked up, visit our calendar, choose your day and time, and make an appointment for window pickup. At your appointment, we will meet you at the sidelight window to the right of the library’s door with your items bagged and ready to go.

Reminders:
  • Items on the holdshelf will be held until June 30.
  • Items that were due during the stay-at-home order that show fines at check-in will have those fines waived.
  • All materials you are returning should go into the book drop. We will not be able to take them from you at the pickup window.
  • Returned items are quarantined for 72 hours before being checked-in. This means there will be a delay in seeing returned items come off your account. This delay will not result in fines.
  • Pickup service is by appointment only.

Regular Mid-Hudson delivery and system-wide holds are scheduled to begin Monday June 22.

Everyone’s Safety is Important

Throughout the Mid-Hudson System, the safety and the health of all our communities continue to be an important part of the reopening planning process. Libraries throughout the system, Mid-Hudson staff and our delivery service have made the safe handling of library materials a priority.

As we gradually reopen, everyone’s safety and well-being is paramount as decisions are made.  We will continue to take small steps in the right direction until full service is restored.
