State Police in Troop K remove seventeen impaired drivers from public roadways during the May 12, 2019, weekend in an effort to reduce Drunk Driving in NY State

Some of those removed from the roadways and charged include;

 On May 11, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Luis S. Cajamarca Ayabaca, age 36, of Dover, NY, for DWI.  He was sleeping in his vehicle on the side of Route 22 in the town of Southeast.  Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

On May 11, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Joshua M. Belizario, age 26, of Bronx, NY, for DWI, and Unlawfully Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, both misdemeanors.  He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of North Castle, when a traffic stop was initiated for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Belizario attempted to flee from Troopers, reaching speeds over 130 miles per hour prior to being detained.  Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

On May 12, 2019, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Christopher D. Pretto, age 27, of Hoboken, NJ, for DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years, a class E felony.  He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when he went off the roadway and became disabled in mud.  Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

On May 13, 2019, State Police from SP Hawthorne arrested Prudencio Calipucha, age 49, of White Plains, NY, for DWI.  He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
