Two Carmel Men Arrested For Tax Fraud and Grand Larceny

Carmel, New York – On May 21, 2019 the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Frank Inzano, age 47, and Shannon Inzano, age 42, both of Carmel, for Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, Grand larceny in the 3rddegree, a class D felony, Offer to File a False Instrument in the 1st degree, and Criminal Tax Fraud in the 4th degree, both class E felonies.
 
The State Police in conjunction with the New York State Department of Taxation and the Putnam County District Attorney’s office and the New York State Department of Transportation conducted an investigation after a complaint was received regarding the owners of Top Notch Towing in Mahopac billing customers exorbitant charges for services.  Investigation found the Inzano’s stole over fifty thousand dollars using fraudulent billing practices, possessed five illegal hand guns, and committed tax fraud.

The Inazano’s were arraigned before the town of Carmel Court, and released on their own recognizance to reappear on June 24, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.
