The New York State Police report that over the Thanksgiving Day weekend NY State Troopers from Troop K removed 36 impaired drivers from area roadways. Several of those arrested listed below were allegedly operating while impaired on local roads or have ties to the Brewster, Carmel, Somers and Yorktown area.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Ezequiel Velazquez, age 28, of Wallkill, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP Wappinger arrested Harrison A. Dillon, age 25, of Wappinger, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 52 in the city of Beacon, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Paul R. Tripi, age 47, of Somers, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Stephen R. Dwyer, age 64, of Guttenberg, NY, for Aggravated DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of North Castle, when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Benjamin W. Conner, age 20, of Cortlandt, NY, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Oregon Road in the town of Cortlandt, when he was the subject of a welfare check by a concerned third party. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of drugs, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 28, 2019, State Police from SP Hawthorne arrested Louis Scarnati, age 57, of Carmel, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of New Castle, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 29, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Terri L. Alford-Steinfeld, age 58, of Katonah, NY, for DWI, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration, all misdemeanors. She was traveling on State Route 202 in the town of Somers, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 29, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Gabriel A. Morales Recinos, age 34, of Mount Kisco, NY, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the village of Brewster, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On November 30, 2019, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Daniel Lora Reyes, age 30, of Peekskill, NY, for DWI.
