Putnam County officials released their weekly update on Covid-19 in Putnam County earlier today. All information provided is from 07/03/2020 through the close of business today, 07/010/2020.
There are now a total of 1565 laboratory confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Putnam County and 15 of those cases, are actively being monitored by the Putnam County Health Department at the present time. On May 25th there were 45 cases actively being monitored and NO cases are currently in Putnam County Hospital. The Health Department reports that 1548 cases are classified Released or "no longer Isolated/Quarantined". "Released" cases includes cases that tested positive, were quarantined and monitored as well as possible cases that may have been exposed by a close contact with a positive case. No official government agency is actively tracking recovered cases at this time.
Residents between the ages 0-9 have accounted for 31 cases, the 10-19 age bracket has 65. The 20-29 year olds have 176 and 30 to 39 account for 265 cases. The 40-49 age group account for 2847 50-59 account for 319, 60-69 account for 202 while those 70-79 have 113, residents over 80 account for 107 cases. The total of those tested in Putnam County since March 1st is now 19,958.
The percentage of cases by gender, 54% male and 46% female.
The New York State Department of Health is reporting 63 deaths due to Covid-19 in Putnam County as of 4pm today July 610th, 2020. NY State has not reported any new deaths in Putnam County since the last update on July 6th.
