Arrest Made in Death of Bicyclist on Rt. 52

Defendant Silvio Tenesaca

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of 49 year old Silvio Tenesaca, (DOB7/13/69) of Kent, in the death of Lake Carmel resident George T. Rosalino DOB 5/14/65.

It is charged that on the evening of November 27, 2018, approximately between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Silvio Tenesaca was intoxicated while driving his vehicle in the vicinity of Route 52 and Palmer Trail, Kent New York, when he struck and killed Mr. Rosalino who was riding a bicycle.

Tenesaca was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree (D Felony), Leaving the Scene of an Accident, (D Felony), Driving While Intoxicated and Driving while having a BAC in excess of .08. and related traffic violations.

Mr. Tenesaca was arraigned today in the Town of Kent before the Honorable Justice Kevin Douchkoff and was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond, pending a future court date.
