Return to Eighth Grade and meet the filmmaker on July 19 at Jacob Burn Film Center

Return to ‘Eighth Grade’ this July 19 at Jacob Burn Film Center beginning at 8:00 pm and experience what it’s like for a young adolescent to grow up in a time where social media dominates.

Eighth Grade is centered on thirteen-year-old Kayla (Elsie Fisher) who endures the tidal wave of suburban adolescence in the age of social media as she makes her way through the last week of middle school – the end of her thus far disastrous eight grade year – before she begins high school. Eight Grade is filmmaker and comedian Bo Burnham’s first film and premiered at this year’s the Sundance Film Festival. Trailer: https://bit.ly/2pcxWgq
