Join us on Friday, July 12th, 2019, 8:00 pm at the Gazebo in Chappaqua for a “Lights for Liberty” vigil to end human detention camps. This is a nationwide event that will bring thousands of Americans together across the country, with their neighbors, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees.
Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on July 12th, community leaders and neighbors will come together to speak about what we can do to help end this inhumane policy. At 9 p.m., around the country and around the world, participants will light candles in a silent vigil for all those held in US detention camps, separated from their families, to bring light to the darkness of the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
Left of Main Street, a Chappaqua based progressive group, will be sponsoring the vigil. Bring your candles and please join us.
