New Doctor Brings Cutting Edge Technique to Chiropractic Practice

Greenwich, CT – Danielle E. Luzzo, D.C., M.S., owner of Greenwich Chiropractic & Nutrition, LLC, is proud to announce the addition of Amara Reynolds, D.C., to her practice. Dr. Reynolds is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, CT where she earned her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic with Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Reynolds specializes in the ground breaking soft tissue method, Active Release Technique (ART.)

"It is an honor for me to join Dr. Luzzo in bringing the benefits of chiropractic care to the community,” says Dr. Reynolds. “I look forward to helping my patients achieve optimum wellness and to lead active, healthy lives,”

ART represents the very latest in cutting edge, soft tissue system/movement based techniques, and is used to treat complaints related to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. ART practitioners evaluate the tightness of the muscle, how the muscle moves, the surrounding tissue and any abnormalities detected are treated by combining precise, direct tension with specific patient movements, according to Luzzo.  “ART frees adhesions and scar tissue related to chronic overuse injuries, and also aids in reducing nerve entrapment,” she says.

ART can help patients who may not respond to traditional conservative treatment measures. “It specifically appeals to athletes of all levels who want to improve their game, with runners being a top field that seek out ART treatments. It’s like a stretching technique but very specific with a lot of good outcomes,” says Dr. Reynolds. ART also helps with headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee pain, tennis elbow, and plantar fasciitis.

Dr. Reynolds’ work will complement that of Dr. Luzzo, a board-certified chiropractor and nutritionist offering non-surgical chiropractic treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological complaints. At Greenwich Chiropractic & Nutrition Dr. Luzzo also provides individualized nutrition counseling because “many health/pain related conditions have a direct correlation with dietary habits.”

“I’ve seen an increased interest amongst my patients in pursing more conservative treatments for complaints - that is, a focus on wellness, which includes eating better, increased physical activity, and reducing medications and invasive techniques to solve complaints. We also tailor our treatments to the individual, and often work closely with other local physicians to achieve optimal results.”

Since taking over the practice in 2009, Dr. Luzzo has seen her clientele grow exponentially. As of January 2015 Greenwich Chiropractic & Nutrition will beginning offering expanded hours on Saturday to meet that increased patient demand.
