Greenwich United Way 2-1-1 Child Care Partner with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood to Provide Free Fingerprinting Services

The Greenwich United Way through  2-1-1 Child Care is partnering with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) to provide free digital fingerprinting services for child care provider staff, volunteers and household members who are required to complete comprehensive background checks. Fingerprints are collected digitally and delivered directly to Connecticut State Police.

“We are happy to provide this critical service for childcare providers in our area,” said David Rabin, CEO of Greenwich United Way. “OEC’s mission of helping families and children to thrive is directly in line with ours and we are proud to do our part to help with the state’s background checks for those caring for children.”

Appointments are available throughout Connecticut and specifically at the Greenwich United Way office at 500 West Putnam Avenue on November 15 and December 13. Appointments can be made here.
