Avon Auction 2021 Features a Seth Rogen Original Handmade Ceramic Vase

The Avon Theatre Film Center is thrilled to announce that actor, comedian, philanthropist and now potter, Seth Rogen, has donated a beautiful handmade ceramic vase for its virtual Avon Auction 2021.

Created exclusively for the Avon, the ceramic is 6" tall, has a three-dimensional feel to the multi-colored design, and has a crackled glaze finish on the top. This original work of art by Seth Rogen is one to cherish for years to come!

Seth donated a small ceramic sculpture in June 2021 to the Vancouver Art Gallery for its online auction that fetched $10,000! Like the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Avon has been hit hard financially by the pandemic. Seth’s generous donation will bring much-needed revenues to the cinema. The Avon is screening new releases 7 days/week and is following state and local COVID-19 safety protocols.

Seth Rogen is a beloved Canadian actor, comedian, writer, and filmmaker. Originally a stand-up comic in Vancouver, he moved to Los Angeles for a part in Judd Apatow's series Freaks and Geeks. He has had a prolific career as an actor, director and screenwriter. Some of his films include Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet, & This Is The End. His voice work includes many hits - Shrek the Third, Horton Hears A Who!, the Kung Fu Panda film series, Monsters vs Aliens, & The Lion King (2019).

Seth and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, are dedicated to raising monies for Alzheimer's through Hilarity for Charity. HFC is a national non-profit whose mission is to care for families impacted by Alzheimer's disease today, activate the next generation of Alzheimer's advocates, and be a leader in brain health research and education.

Auction co-chairs are Avon Board members Carol Cohen, Jean Doyen de Montaillou and Mary Ann Henry. The Avon, an iconic historic cinema, located at 272 Bedford Street in Downtown Stamford since 1939, has been blessed with many donations from local businesses, celebrities, destination getaways and Avon patrons. Auction bidders will find something for even the most discerning relative! Bidding ends November 15.

Bidders also have the opportunity to purchase items instantly by selecting the WIN IT NOW option. Local delivery is available. Gift certificates can also be sent electronically. Preview the Avon Auction 2021 catalogue with your family and friends here.
