Annual Ghouls in the Garden Family Fun Event at the Greenwich Botanical Center

On Saturday, October 27th, Greenwich Botanical Center (GBC), located at 130 Bible Street, will welcome families to join for a “ghoulishly delightful” day of fun celebrating the fall harvest season with an event titled "Ghouls in the Garden” running from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The event, Co-chaired by Neisha Hosein and Bharti Chojar, is sponsored by Neisha Lex Realty Group.

“Ghouls in the Garden brings back our very popular traditional activity of decorating pumpkins with natural and organic materials in our Pumpkin Contest,” said Meg McAuley Kaicher, President of the Board at Greenwich Botanical Center. “Our family day focuses on multi-generational attractions that have grandparents, parents and children enjoy the outdoors together with seasonal stories and activities; children are welcome to come in costume. Refreshments, face-painting, crafts, and haunted garden entertainment all are included in the family ticket price!”

Ghouls in the Garden takes place among the colorful foliage, tall pines and natural splendor of the Montgomery Pinetum where children will have the opportunity to decorate pumpkins with a variety of natural materials selected by the knowledgeable staff of the GBC. Event Co-chair Hosein said she is “very excited to produce events with Greenwich Botanical Center that bring families together, not only to discover the beauty and possibilities of the GBC but to reinforce our commitment to serving our community.”

Games and crafts have been chosen by the GBC Youth Director, Jennifer Behette, to engage and delight children of all ages. Event Co-chair Chojar added,  “I look forward to enriching our community with initiatives that foster multigenerational families connecting with nature at Greenwich Botanical Center.”

Admission to the event is $75 for members, $100 for non-members and includes admission for up to 5 family members, 2 pumpkins for the pumpkin decorating contest, a haunted garden, games, crafts, and tickets for food, beverages, and treats. Additional tickets for admission, pumpkins, and food also will be available for purchase.

This event funds educational and recreational programs for the community at Greenwich Botanical Center. For a full list of upcoming events, please visit Greenwich Botanical Center online (gecgreenwich.org). The Greenwich Botanical Center annual membership is $55.
