Revolution, Madness and the Visionary Doctor Who Became a Founding Father with New York Times Bestselling Author & Award-winning Journalist Stephen Fried on Tuesday, February 26 – 7:30 pm at Greenwich YWCA, 259 E. Putnam Avenu

UJA-JCC Greenwich presents Stephen Fried, New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist, as part of its Author Series on Tuesday, February 26 at 7:30 pm. Fried will discuss his new book, RUSH: Revolution, Madness and the Visionary Doctor Who Became a Founding Father -- recently named one of the 12 most "Notable Books of the Year" in nonfiction by the American Library Association.

Benjamin Rush -- Surgeon General of the Continental Army, signatory of the Declaration of Independence and Jefferson's pick as medical advisor to the Lewis and Clark Expedition -- is also hailed as the father of American psychiatry for his pioneering work with the mentally ill. Dr. Rush was a visionary political thinker whose voice is ever more relevant today.

Stephen Fried resurrects the most significant Founding Father you've never heard of and duly inducts him into the pantheon of great leaders.
