Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.
You're IT Daria Rockholz Consulting.
Three questions with Daria Rockholz, Ph.D. Educational Consulting Services and owner of Daria Rockholz Consulting.
School and college placement services, success with special needs, and guiding teens at risk.
Why did you start your business?
I started my educational consulting business to address an underserved population: helping college-bound students with special learning needs. We offer educational advisory services that guide adolescents and young adults through intricate and specialized application processes. Our credentialed, experienced educational and clinical specialists help students find -- and gain acceptance to -- the right educational or therapeutic program.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
I work with many students with learning needs and disabilities and therefore I refer to a number of independent therapists and tutors and organizations. Some are listed below.
- The Anxiety Institute
- Dr. Nelson Dorta
- Dr. Sejal Vyas
- Beth O'Malley, MS
- Dr. Joyce Pere
- Aron Boxer, tutor
