On May 19, runners and walkers of all ages - from toddlers to grandparents - will lace up their sneakers and join hundreds of Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) supporters in Greenwich, CT for the organization’s annual 5K Run/Walk for Hope. The event brings together families, friends, neighbors and even some dogs - for a fun and meaningful morning as participants remember loved ones who lost their lives to the disease and honor breast cancer survivors.
Recognizing the important role fitness plays in both prevention and recovery, BCA added a 5K run to its annual 1-mile walk in 2016. In 2019, the organization is expanding the event further with its inaugural Walk or Run Where You Live. Women, men and children in communities throughout the U.S. will also run or walk in their hometowns - around their neighborhood, on a school track, along the beach… wherever their feet may take them. Walk or Run Where You Live reflects BCA’s ever-broadening funding focus and efforts to extend their vital research grants. It’s an easy, healthy, enjoyable way to make a big impact!

The mission of Breast Cancer Alliance is to improve survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment and cure.
