11^th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Village - Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses

Santa and his LIVE reindeer – Dasher, Dancer and Prancer - are coming back for the 11^th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Village and return to, “the North Pole on North Street,” Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses, 437 North Street, Greenwich, Connecticut, from November 29 to December 24, 2019.  The cherished town tradition continues for the eleventh consecutive year at the expansive nursery where visitors can have their photo taken with Santa, meet the reindeer and also enjoy the new Santa’s Village, train and carousel rides at the North Pole on North Street, all just minutes from downtown Greenwich. Parking is free. The community is invited to Sam Bridge for a “We’re Back Party” on Friday, November 29, from 12-6 PM, when Santa’s Workshop is officially open for photos with Santa.

While waiting for the reindeer to arrive in the afternoon, everyone can enjoy special refreshments, face painting and balloon art and dance demonstrations. Throughout the four weeks, the reindeer will make Sam Bridge their home, thanks to Reindeer stable sponsor, Pepsi.  Children, adults, corporate groups and even pets (on leashes) can have their photo taken with Santa at Santa’s Workshop.  Photo packages begin at $29.99 and include a gift bag filled with promotions redeemable at participating downtown Greenwich stores.  

Hours for the Photos with Santa are Monday through Friday, 12-6 PM and Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM. The reindeer will depart on December 22, but Santa will remain for photos Christmas Eve, Tuesday, 9 AM – 3 PM.m. The Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Village is produced by TMK Sports & Entertainment, LLC and GreenwichMoms.com, both Greenwich-based businesses.

11^th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend December 7 and 8, 2019

For the eleventh consecutive year, the holiday shopping and dining season will come to life at the 11^th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend, Saturday, December 7 from 10 AM – 6 PM and Sunday, December 8 from 12-5 PM  This much anticipated annual event to shop, dine and be merry will expand this year to include Greenwich, Byram, Glenville, Cos Cob and Riverside, where there will be live music entertainment tents sponsored by Greenwich Hospital, among others. The Holiday Stroll will also feature a Live Nativity, horse drawn carriage rides, professional ice sculpture demos, a food truck village on Greenwich Avenue, letter-writing to Santa and more than 140 participating retailers and restaurants offering promotions, refreshments and holiday cheer.  

Everyone is welcome at the 11^th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Kick-Off Party to benefit Kids in Crisis, hosted by Vineyard Vines, Thursday, December 5, 6-8 PM at 145 Greenwich Avenue.  20% of the evening sales will benefit Kids in Crisis.  Returning for the second year, to celebrate the season of giving, over 40 stores and restaurants will support this Greenwich-based non-profit organization to bring awareness to a special cause.
