12th annual Howl & Prowl Rescheduled to November 3

Pet Pantry Warehouse will host the 12th annual Howl & Prowl© in support of Adopt-a-Dog on Sunday, October 27, at 290 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich Commons Park. The family-owned business, specializing in quality pet food and products, invites all to enjoy a FREE afternoon in support of the rescue organization which saves, socializes and secures loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs since 1981. The 2019 Howl & Prowl leading sponsor is Earth Animal.

Kristen Alouisa, Executive Director at Adopt-A-Dog said, "Pet Pantry's Howl & Prowl is a fun community event that we look forward to every year.  We are so appreciative of Pet Pantry's generosity and support to help us continue our mission.  All proceeds of this event benefit the dogs at Adopt-A-Dog and we are truly grateful".

This event, known as a costume party in the park, is a popular tradition that many in the Greenwich community look forward to each year. Attendees have the option to register to enter a fundraising costume contest for both pets and people at $20, this contest includes prizes totaling $600 in Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates. Additional pet food brands sponsoring the event include Champion, Open Farm, Merrick Pet Care, Bravo, Earthborn, Ziwipeak, Health Extensions, Primal, Triumph, Bixbi, Raised Right, Zignature, Natural Balance, Stella & Chewys, and Weruva.

"Now in our 12th year, we're challenged again to grow this event and build upon its annual tradition. We couldn't be more passionate about the cause we're working to support and feel inspired by all that join through sponsorship and attendance. Howl & Prowl is now a big part of an initiative that has allowed us to raise well over $100,000 for Adopt-A-Dog and other rescue groups throughout the years. It is one of my favorite PPW signature events,” said Joshua Roth, Vice President at Pet Pantry Warehouse.

Pet Pantry created Howl & Prowl© in 2008 and the event has become a town staple that includes costume contests, activities for kids, pet food samples and giveaways. This year Pet Pantry will host a “Bone Bar” pop-up with assorted treats for the dogs. Attendees will have access to caricature drawings by artist Bill Hernandez, face painting by Wells, food trucks and much more. Pet Pantry will bring assorted balloon "dogs" available for “adoption.” And, theme music will entertain attendees by in-demand NYC artist DJ Cochon De Lait.

Earth Animal will be showcasing No-Hide Chews, Nature's Protection Flea & Tick line, Nature's Comfort (CBD) line and giving away free Zen Pens, herbal remedies, Daily Health Nuggets (vitamins for dogs) and more. "With sustainability in our DNA, Earth Animal believes in building and supporting a strong community and we love giving back to those who've helped us along the way.  We are excited to partner with Pet Pantry for this years' Howl & Prowl once again, its such a fun event for the whole pack," said Mike Cody, Marketing Director at Earth Animal.
