Historical Society to Host Greenwich League of Women Voters Reception

Historical Society to Host Greenwich League of Women Voters Reception:  Women Get the Vote!

The fight for women’s right to vote was a journey supported by many Connecticut women who fought on local, state and national levels. Their inspiring stories remind us of the power of our vote and our voice today. The Connecticut League of Women Voter Reception: Women Get the Vote! will be held on March 10, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Greenwich Historical Society Barn, 47 Strickland Rd., Cos Cob. Pam Dougherty of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame will speak on “Votes for Women” and winners of the League of Women Voters essay contest for students in grades K – 12 on “What if Women Could Not Vote” will be announced. Guests will receive a guided tour of An Unfinished Revolution: The Women’s Suffrage Centennial exhibition, now on view at the Historical Society through September 6, 2020.

Members of the Greenwich League of Women Voters and Greenwich Historical Society are at no cost; non-members are $20.  Reservations are limited.
