Lidia Bastianich is Featured Guest at Person to Person’s Transforming Lives Luncheon Benefit on October 27

Person to Person (P2P), a nonprofit provider of essential services for people in Fairfield County, announces acclaimed chef Lidia Bastianich to headline its popular Transforming Lives Luncheon benefit on October 27, 2022, at the Greenwich Country Club.

Guests attending P2P's Transforming Lives Luncheon will be able to connect with Lidia Bastianich in person. Lidia is one of the most recognized names in the culinary world, thanks to her Emmy award-winning public television shows, best-selling cookbooks, restaurants, and as the owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business. Joining Lidia in conversation will be James Beard Award-winning Debra Ponzek, internationally acclaimed chef, author of multiple cookbooks, and owner of Aux Délices. Their conversation will range from how Lidia's love of food inspired her to launch a series of successful businesses to her time spent as a child in a refugee camp in Trieste, Italy.

Luncheon guests will enjoy a three-course gourmet meal personally selected by Lidia from among her favorite recipes and prepared by Executive Chef Alejandro Abad at the Greenwich Country Club. All guests will receive a signed copy of Lidia's latest cookbook, "A Pot, A Pan, and a Bowl."

The event will feature an intimate pre-luncheon "Meet and Greet" with Lidia for up to 30 guests. These guests have the opportunity to speak with Lidia and receive a personally signed copy of her memoir, "My American Dream." (Note: Your "Meet & Greet" ticket includes all benefits of the luncheon)

Lidia Bastianich is a long-time supporter of P2P, having donated both her time and food to the organization. During the pandemic, for example, she donated Lidia's pasta and sauce to feed thousands of families through the P2P food pantries. “I am honored to be part of this year’s P2P Transforming Lives Luncheon,” shared Lidia. “The incredible work Person to Person does to provide people with essential services like food and financial assistance is life-changing. As someone who was forced to leave their home at nine years old, and create a new life, I can relate to many of the families P2P helps.

Co-chairs for the event are Christina Johnson-Wolff and Michelle Lappas. Committee members include Nancy-Jean Bono, Andrew Brown, Kim Brown, Cathy de Graaff, Allison Gagliardi, BJ Gedney, Mimi Griffith, Noelle Heffernan, Eden Huang, Caroline Moran, Angela Riley, Holly Shulz, Julianna Spain, and Eileen Sussan.

Special thanks to the event sponsors for their generous support, including Conair, The Riccardi Family, The Johnson-Wolff Family, Bankwell, Baywater Properties, Palmer's Market, Pitney Bowes, U.S. Chemicals, LLC - a Woman-Owned Business, Hat Attack, Troy Insurance, DR Bank, Xerox, Aux Delices, Lidia's Italy, Barrett Bookstore, Courtyard® & Residence Inn® Stamford Downtown, and Moffly Media.
