Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade will be on March 19, 2023

The Greenwich Hibernians have announced that the Greenwich Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM beginning at the Greenwich Town Hall.

Note to parade participants: There will be shuttle buses taking marchers from the parking area by the finish (Island Beach parking lot) to the start of the parade at Town Hall.

2023 Grand Marshal

Kevin McFadden is a former New York City Police officer, a Greenwich native and the grandson of Irish and Scottish immigrants. He will be installed as Grand Marshal of the 47th annual parade during Greenwich Hibernian Association's annual St. Patrick's dinner dance on March 4.

McFadden was born in Greenwich, the son of Francis P. and Pearl McFadden. His grandparents Michael McFadden of Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, Ireland, and Anne E. O’Neill McFadden of Dumbarton, Scotland, came to America in 1929 and settled in Greenwich where they raised five children.

After attending Greenwich Catholic School and St. Mary High School, McFadden enrolled at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. He began his law enforcement career in 1992 and worked for 28 years in the New York Police Department before retiring in 2020. He now works in security for Morgan Stanley.
