Historical Society’s ‘Music on the Great Lawn’ Series Returns
Greenwich Historical Society’s great lawn will come alive with the sounds of music all summer long. Beloved local favorites and new bands offer a wide range of music styles designed to appeal to all age groups. Greenwich’s own Chasing Romeo, a five-piece band led by Bob Capazzo, opens the series June 8th with their high energy rock classics.
The historic gardens are an ideal backdrop for enjoying the music, while picnicking with friends and family. Bring your own or enjoy a boxed dinner from series partner The Country Table. Grounds open at 5:30 pm, with music from 6:30 – 8 pm.
Popular area bands and new additions complete the summer schedule:
- Billy & The Showman, June 22
- Silver Steel Drum Band, July 6
- Suburban Chaos, July 20
- Margi & the Dapper Dots, August 3
- Gunsmoke, August 17
- The Sun Kings, A Beatles Tribute, August 31
