Greenwich Hospital Welcomes Leading Oncologists

wo leading oncologists have joined the medical staff of the Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Greenwich Hospital Campus. Daniela Gidea-Addeo, MD, as a radiation oncologist and Lisa Wiechmann, MD as a breast surgeon.

Dr. Daniela Gidea-Addeo is a board-certified radiation oncologist with more than 13 years of experience as an attending physician including experience performing Intra Operative Radiation Therapy. Prior to joining Greenwich Hospital, she was clinical director of the department of Radiation Oncology, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and clinical director of the department of Radiation Oncology, New York University, both in New York City.

Dr. Lisa Wiechmann, a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, has joined the medical staff of the Breast Center. Dr. Wiechmann earned a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center after completing award-winning research on the preclinical development of therapies targeting the HER2 receptor at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Greenwich Hospital, she was a faculty and attending physician at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, New York City.
