J. McLaughlin Supports The Ridgefield Playhouse Arts for Everyone Program

Local shoppers “came in like a lion” to kick off March and celebrate J. McLaughlin’s First Anniversary on Main Street in Ridgefield. Although the outdoor temperatures were still chilly, many purchased the latest spring trends to help support of the arts. J.McLaughlin generously donated 15% of sales from the weekend - more than $1,200 - to benefit The Ridgefield Playhouse’s Arts for Everyone program. The Ridgefield Playhouse Executive Director, Allison Stockel, was grateful for this contribution, especially at a time when arts organizations have suffered. “We were thrilled that J. McLaughlin chose The Ridgefield Playhouse as the beneficiary of their First Anniversary Celebration. We love working with local businesses and creating partnerships with shops and restaurants.” says Stockel “We know that when The Playhouse has shows, movies or HD screening, our patrons shop in local stores and dine at our restaurants. Partnerships like this are a wonderful give back to The Playhouse as well as our community.” The Arts for Everyone program helps make the performing arts available to economically disadvantaged residents of Fairfield County and surrounding communities who cannot afford the cost of admission, even at reduced rates. The Playhouse was founded in the belief that the arts can and do make a difference in the lives of people, and that accessibility to the arts should not be limited by one’s ability to pay. Thank you to everyone who shopped local and supported the community! For more information on The Ridgefield Playhouse and upcoming performances, visit their website at www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org
