The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol volunteers will again deliver holiday cheer complete with Santa and The Grinch

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. to Spread Holiday Cheer throughout Greenwich

The fundraiser will take place on Saturdays and Sundays in December...and Christmas Day.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. (The Patrol) will host “OPERATION SANTA” a benefit in support of this all-volunteer agency celebrating ninety-four years of service to the Town of Greenwich.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol volunteers will again deliver holiday cheer complete with Santa and The Grinch on December 11, 12, 18, 19, and special limited deliveries on Christmas morning.

Santa and The Grinch will be escorted through Greenwich to deliver your pre-wrapped holiday presents to your children. The joy on your children’s faces will warm your heart and make a lasting memory for years to come. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in place, but have no fear, Santa and The Grinch will make sure your little ones still get a photo! To participate, please sign up on the website with your desired day and time for Santa to come by.

"Operation Santa is another example of the support the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol provides our community," First Selectman Fred Camillo said. "It also gives the community an opportunity to celebrate the season with the comfort of a holiday tradition, with a twist."

In lieu of the Cos Cob Fire Police benefit this year, the donations made for this special delivery will help offset funds that would have been raised at that benefit. Please join us at ccfpp.org. We look forward to being able to see you all in person for the celebration of our 95th anniversary.

“Where do I begin to thank you for the most amazing experience… This was the highlight of the night. You had the best Santa ever! You are all very special people and we feel honored that you made this night special for us.” - Johnna Yeskey   (Operation Santa 2020)

Protecting the Town of Greenwich since 1927.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting the residents of the Town of Greenwich since 1927. The Patrol provides a broad spectrum of services to residents and first responders including firefighting, salvage operations, traffic and scene control at emergencies. One of the few remaining nationwide organizations which specialize in the art of salvage work, The Patrol specially trains its members to protect valuable personal property, inside of a home or business that could otherwise be destroyed due to fire, water or smoke damage. The Patrol proudly serves the entire town of Greenwich and is under the command of its own Chief. Last year, The Patrol responded to over 1,000 emergency calls. The Patrol’s dedicated members are volunteers who train and donate their time solely out of love for what they do. Each of the 25 service members of The Patrol must train for over 100 hours to qualify for their part in the organization. Members of the Patrol are a diverse group of men and women from many professions. In addition to service members, the associate, honorary and veteran members volunteered over 5,000 hours to the Town and its citizens through community outreach, support, meetings and training in 2020 alone. They don’t stop. Whether it is learning or giving of themselves to the community, members of The Patrol are dedicated to serving the needs of the citizens of the Town of Greenwich. “As an associate member of the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol I have first-hand experience in seeing the dedication to community and to service that the Patrol members have. As I worked to garner support in Hartford for my bill providing legislative protections for the members, it became very apparent to my legislative colleagues that the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol is indeed one of the best companies in the nation” said Fred Camillo, Greenwich First Selectman. “We are truly blessed to have these volunteers who are ready to roll out whenever needed, 24/7.”
