Greenwich Hospital Healthcare Workers Recieve Hundreds of Homemade Cards from Wilton Community
Greenwich Hospital offered heartfelt thanks on their Facebook Page to a family who turned an art project into a salute for the hospital healthcare workers.
“Renee Rafferty and her three children – Gavin, 10, Keira, 12 and Colin, 14 – turned a family project to salute Greenwich Hospital healthcare workers into a community wide outpouring of support,” the hospital explains.
The hospital explained that on Monday, the family delivered more than 300 homemade cards to the hospital from “the caring children and adults of Wilton.” Renee, a nurse in the hospital’s Quality and Safety Department, said her family wanted to express their gratitude to her coworkers on the front lines.
The cards were made by Renee’s children, their friends, her son’s fourth grade class, children born at Greenwich Hospital, children who have spent time in Yale New Haven Health hospitals, Wilton Girl Scout Troops, Wilton Children’s Theater, Our Lady of Fatima Parish and many others! Renee’s post on the Wilton 411 Facebook page requesting cards was a hit. “I put a bin outside my mailbox and Wilton answered the call!,” she said.
