First Congregational Church of Greenwich Announces New Preschool Director, Jennifer DiCarlo

Beginning on Monday, February 1, 2021, First Church Preschool will welcome its new Director, Jennifer DiCarlo.

For the last six years, DiCarlo worked as a kindergarten teacher at Old Greenwich School. Prior to that, her extensive career in education included teaching positions at Cos Cob School, North Street School and Eagle Hill School.

“We are very excited to have Jennifer join us here at First Church Preschool,” said First Church’s Senior Pastor Patrick Collins. “Her experience, passion for education, and connections to the larger community will help us continue to grow and thrive well into the future.”

DiCarlo’s tenure throughout the district has made her a well-known educator within the Greenwich community. In addition to teaching, she has held several leadership roles in the local Public School District, including the Special Education Advisory Council, the Greenwich Education Association and the Preschool Planning Committee, among many others.

“I am honored to accept the position of Director at First Church Preschool,” said Jennifer DiCarlo. “As a Greenwich Public School teacher, I have had the pleasure of interacting with FCP and working in the Old Greenwich Community over the past decade. I am excited to support FCP’s students, staff and families as our youngest learners embark on their first formal educational experience.”

Throughout her career, DiCarlo has been recognized for her innovative approach to teaching and proactive representation of her fellow educators. Her love of teaching and unique ability to connect with young children is a true gift, and First Church Preschool looks forward to welcoming her into its community.

“I look forward to continuing FCP’s mission of Learning Through Caring, especially during these challenging times,” concluded DiCarlo.
