Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Ada's Kitchen + Coffee!

Three questions with Krista Pietrafeso, co-owner of Ada's Kitchen + Coffee.

Why did you start your business?

After 20+ years in the food industry, Mike wanted to leverage his extensive experience and bring his own concept to life. With a young family, he wanted to have a place that would allow him to be home for family dinner and at the same time, wanted to bring fresh, seasonal and great tasting scratch made food to the local community. When the opportunity came up to re-open Ada's, he couldn't pass it up. After 2.5 years, he is so glad he didn't!

Best selling product/service?

Our housemade English muffin egg sandwich is one of our signature dishes, but our salads, sandwiches and other breakfast items sell really well too. There is something for everyone!
